Hardware transcoder of IGPU doesn' work within True nas Core on PLEX

Hello everybody,

I bought a ASRock J5040-ITX to run True Nas CORE 13.0-U4 and my wish was to use the IGPU of the pentium Silver J5040 as for me the fonctionnality "Intel Sync" was included to transcode video on Flex.

I activated the Igpu within Bios ( up to date ), i installed for the first time True Nas Core without trouble, install the plex plugin with jail ... take the test month to have the plex pass and to have the possibility to use normally the hardware of the IGPU to transcode but it doesn't work and my CPU take all the work and can just assume 1 canal.

I see some screenshots of the True Nas which seems to show GPU configuration menu but i do not found the same within True NAS core

Could you please explain to me how ( and if :) ) i can activate the IGPU to done the job or if i must installe True nas scale instead of Core edition

I'm not a "specialist" of this product and i want to thanks you very much in advance for your time and explanations

That looks like a screenshot of SCALE, not Core.

I believe you'll have better luck accomplishing your goal with SCALE.

While it's possible to use Intel GPU transcoding with Plex on Core, it requires a bit more "elbow grease".

I'm not against "elbow grease" :) Just need to know how i can do with other users experience with the same kind of conf ( Plex hardware transcodage with IGPU activated )

Otherwyse i can upgrade with Scan version but need to know before if it will works more easely by activate option within conf.
I f i upgrade and have the same situation it will be block and i imagine that i will spend conf by uppgrade the OS
