Hello.

I recently switched from Truenas Core and Scale and am getting a little more involved with apps. Primarily, I've been trying my hand at Home Assistant. Everything works so far, but now I would like to know where I can find the files for it in Truenas.

In the configuration of Home Assistant I have connected an external path to the configuration and in this I see all the configuration files. But I can't find the database there for example. Therefore I would like to know where in Truenas the files of the respective container are located by default.

Can someone help me further?

Greetings

In the current version (22.02.4) the apps are stored in the /ix-applications directory by default. So if your pool is called for example "mainpool" go to System Settings --> Shell and then cd into:
/mnt/mainpool/ix-applications/releases

After coming back to scale after deciding it wasn't for me, I found the following for this question that I suspect will be helpful for anyone else coming here:

Look in the url list under the app, find the url that has docker hub in it, go to that page and see what it says about where is stores it's data, then add a persistent data storage for that location.

For example, in mariadb, I had to map the container path of /bitnami/mariadb to my chosen host path. Unsurprisingly the docker documentation is relatively easy to follow, it's the truenas docs that I struggle with (or lack of).
