Hello,

I would like to install FreeNAS on a Virtual Machine. It only has one 3 TB Hard Disk.
I would like to create a Pool or a share but on Pool there are no more hard disks to select.

Creating a SMB Share says: "The path must reside within a volume mount point"

What are my options?

Thank you!

The FreeNAS OS lives on its own device; you can't use that device for any other purpose. This is explained in the manual, and even in the screens of the installer itself. So your option is to install FreeNAS as it's intended to be installed, on a separate boot device of at least 16 GB (but not more than about 120 GB ideally).
