Flash LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i to it mode

Hello all,

I got my hands on a LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i, and I was wondering if I could flash it into IT Mode.
I could not find much online expect that there is an option to use it in JBOD mode, but I also found a post that it is not the same as IT Mode.
And I also dont want to go to the raid controller bios every time I swap a disk.
Do you guys know any good tutorial on how to flash this LSI card?

The 9361-8i is a RAID controller and cannot be used with TrueNAS. You need an HBA such as the 9300-8i, flashed into IT mode.

What's all the noise about HBAs, and why can't I use a RAID controller?

1) An HBA is a Host Bus Adapter. This is a controller that allows SAS and SATA devices to be attached to, and communicate directly with, a server. RAID controllers typically aggregate several disks into a Virtual Disk abstraction of some sort...
