Hi All

I would like to back in terms of transferring a copy of the files from my PC to my NAS storage.

Can anyone recommend me a good software solution for these simple tasks? Maybe it can also have a mode where I can set up a day and time as well to make it automatic and the option of switching off the PC when completed?

Veeam Agent for Windows - Free edition. Works very well - I have 3 PC's backing up on a daily schedule with it. I have also used the full recovery a couple of times - it works well too. I don't think that it will be able to shut off your PC.

I think the term you're looking for is "backup", and there are many such solutions. It's a subject that's been discussed a lot, so a forum search will likely give more information, but I've been happy with Urbackup.

If you want the files to be useable on / from the NAS then something like:
robocopy and set a scheduler task
Syncovery

If however you are talking backup with incrementals etc then Veeam Agent (Free) is also my recommendation.

Of course we are assuming a windows client.........
