is it possible to get fancontrol included in a future release as at the moment I have to manually install the .deb,

It's actually needed on converted QNAP hardware as the normal mode in the bios/uefi just sticks the fans on full and smart mode seems to just stick them on minimum and the thing will literally cook itself (105c CPU temp under load!).

I'd imagine it would be useful for other people as well who need to control pwm fans on whatever hardware they're running.
