So I just installed truenas and jailed the plex media server. And before I can do anything my computer starts freezing my eset anti-virus keeps referencing a blocked arp poisoning attack. I have Un blocked it and restarted it. The trueNas server keeps sending arp table queries and my local computer just keeps freezing. Not sure what to do about that.

I don't know anything about "eset anti-virus", but in order to provide a VNET stack to a jail, the system needs to impersonate a second MAC address on the same NIC/PORT, which would appear in the ARP table as an additional entry.

Plex also does some network trickery in a couple of directions, but I guess that it may be the attempt to use UPnP to open the external port on your router which turns up at your PC as a broadcast packet.

EIther way, perhaps what you need to do it somehow tell "eset" to ignore that activity and see if your life can continue as normal in addition to having the Plex server you want.

In all likelihood, you've configured Plex to use the same IP as your PC, which would explain the "ARP poisoning attack" messages and your PC freezing.
