Attempting to upgrade the Plex Plugin results in the below error.

Same error here while trying to do the same thing. I run TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 and Plex 1.23.6.4881 released as 11.2-RELEASE-p15.

I was encountering another error before that:

truenas updating plex Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: /mnt/storage/iocage/.plugins/github_com_freenas_iocage-ix-plugins_git/plex.json

I solved it using @Yorick post on the matter and setting the `plugin_name` property of jail `plex` as `plexmediaserver`. Then I ran into the error you are encountering.

@lmannyr have you seen this knowledge base page from Asigra? Seems relevant although it requires to re-install the jail and plugin and start fresh.

FYI, since my Plex jail configuration was just about a few mount points, I just deleted my plugin install (which was pretty old) and re-installed the plugin from TrueNAS WebUI. The plugin offered in the WebUI had more recent release (12.3-RELEASE-p7) and version (1.28.2.6151).

Also, the reason I wanted to update in the first place was because subtitles were not showing properly (at all) on my smart TV. It works now apparently.
