Encrypted cloud backup options

Looking for Opinions on the different cloud backups for TrueNAS. I see there are multiple options like Amazon S3, Azure, Backblaze B2, Box, and Google Cloud Storage. Has anyone done a comparison on the different options? Does anyone know if Synology Cloud is an option?

Thanks

I mean, generically you have three broad options:
  1. Blob storage via S3 or similar, be it from Amazon or someone else
  2. File storage
  3. zfs send/recv
They all have pros and cons. Blob storage tends to be cheaper and clunkier. File storage gets messy once you start encrypting stuff. ZFS send/recv with native encryption and encrypted send makes for a very convenient solution, but you need someone who speaks ZFS and who supports encrypted sends, which I think it's rsync.net and few others.

You can give iX-StorJ a try for distributed and encrypted blob storage - 25GB to start with for free, and $4/TB/mo. There's also a 5TB/1-year "starter package" available.

Well, messy as in "you need to develop or otherwise acquire the necessary tooling and it will not be particularly elegant". Though I think TarSnap sold such a service, with real encryption instead of "trust me bro" encryption.

zfs.rent
Never heard of them, sounds like a very small operation, for better and for worse.
