ECC unbuffered RAM?

Through the numerous reccomendations from this forum, I decided to build a proper NAS with ECC support. I picked up a Supermicro machine with this MB

I'm a bit mystified on buffered vs unbuffered on whether this machine will suit my needs.

Read the Supermicro page closely. You will notice that buffered/registered RAM will not work. Also DIMM sizes above 4GB aren't supported.
