Downgrading to Bluefin

Hello,

I'm having trouble with RC1 (understandably) and I'd like to downgrade to Bluefin. This was a from scratch installation, and I know I cannot use the configuration, but I only have the dataset and pools to migrate. I know nothing about ZFS but I've read that depending on the "flags" you have enabled, you cannot go back to Bluefin? How do I check those flags, and if they are the wrong ones, can I change them so I can just install Bluefin and import my dataset/pools again?

Thanks in advance.

If you created the pools on Cobia they cannot be downgraded so you will not be able to import these on BlueFin. What challenges are you facing with Cobia?

Thanks, that's unfortunate, I guess I'll just move data around and will start from scratch, I know that could happen with a RC, so that's ok.

My issues are mostly related to TrueCharts app failures, but from what I can gather, usage of those are frowned upon on this community, so I'll just start from scratch.

Thanks again.

I have different issues (errors when installing, not being able to restart certain apps, etc), but again, I'm not sure this is the right forum to discuss those.

Have you tried any apps from the community chart? I'd be interested in knowing if you are seeing issues with those as this might identify if there is something else going on. I'd hate for you to downgrade to BlueFin and hit the same issues.

I have, and I got one of the issues (very slow time to install + Python exception trace) the first time I installed one, but never after that, and I suspect it's related to having been using TrueChart apps before (which get me the very slow time to install + Python exception trace every time instead), so I don't think I should report that, as I'm sure it's not related to "pure" Cobia, don't want to waste your time on that.

Other issues, like the Gitea app not working after a system restart or stop/start of the app itself are only related to TrueCharts (they don't happen on the "official" Gitea app, for example), so I'm sure those are not related either, and TrueCharts won't look at them until Cobia is "supported" so I'm not in the best place right now.

I'll may try Bluefin on a VM first, to see if those problems are gone, then downgrade my whole system.

Thanks again for your help.

As expected, TrueCharts problems are gone with Bluefin, so for now I'll just downgrade "manually".
