Hmmm?

What would the amount of data be for 6 Western Digital WD30EZRX in ZFS2?
The wd30ezrx is 3 TB each and I only get 10.6 for 6 disk

I would expect more space?
Can this be correct ?

That looks correct. 1TB hard drives are not 1TB binary. You should have 12TB total disk space, minus space for the loss in converted from base-10 to binary for TB calculations. My RAID6 windows server that has the same hard drives shows 10.9TB total in Windows. I'd say you are pretty much spot-on.

Plenty Thx noobsauce80!

I looked at http://www.ibeast.com/content/tools/RaidCalc/RaidCalc.asp

This made me think that I was missing a disk or something

I got the same result 10.7 TB after creating my Zpool.

Nine 2-TB drives in a triple 3-drive RAIDZ.
I weighted the considerations of using RAIDZ2, in which case I would've needed 1 more drive. But the RAIDZ config would allow me to bring the backup server online much faster, by starting with 3-drives and adding more later on.
