Hi
I used freenas until many years, I resolve many problem when I read trean and information on different web page, but now I have special bug, and I not found solution until now.
My setup : Nas-1 and the backup of the first server is Nas-2 all have 4 hard drive in zfs raid, and the server work well. I used few days ago on Nas-1 freenas 0.8.1 and on Nas-2 freenas 0.9.2
Manualy , with my computer (windows 7) on specific time I use putty and "rsync command" on Nas-1 to Nas-2 , whit the command « rsync -e ssh ……» and work perfectly.
I upgrade Nas-1 to 0.9.3 (latest version) 3 january 2015.
I decide to sync my Nas-1 on Nas-2 , look like what I made in the past. . . . but the syncr stop. Ok, is possible one time, I choose to use rsync without ssh, same problem, the action stop again, but faster (less 5 second)
I choose to upgrade the Nas-2 to latest version, 0.9.3
I try to sync Nas-1 to Nas-2 = same problem, sync stop
I decide to use other software for « talking » to the server, maby putty are corrupt, I choose mobaXterm.
I have same problem, the sync stop and I have the message « Corrupted MAC on input / Disconnecting : Packet corrupt » the transfert stop.
I readed some information on the web; if I drop the speed connection between the both NAS, maybe the problem will not occur. The normal connection of the network is 1000baseT, in full duplex. I add a switch for drop speed to 100baseT in full duplex. I have same message but after 5 second, not after 0.3 second.
I try many times, push and pull data = same result. I verrify the netstat of the connection. . . no error happend during anny transfert I made between windows computer to and from Nas-1, plus I try the rsync session, and no error on netstat.
Now I don’t know how is possible to make for resolve this issue, I'm not a expert in linux. When I upgrade the freenas, I upgrade the ZFS pool too, and I think it will not possible to go back, with older version of freenas. The hardware are not changed more than 1 year, and few days before I make the upgrade of freenas, the rsync have succes.
If some one have clue, let me know,
Regards, Christian
