Hello. I am not new to FreeNAS, as I have been using and running version 0.69 for more than 7 years, in a home environment. I have had no problems connecting various devices to the main share, including various versions of Windows, Android and Apple iOS. I have recently built a new system and am running version 9.3-STABLE-201511040813. I have created a guest CIFS share at the root of the volume, to mimic the old system setup and copied all folders and files to the new system. I have connected Windows 7 systems to the new share with no problem. However, when I try to connect an Android device, using Total Commander, I constantly get prompted for a password and cannot connect to the share. Any insight to this issue would be appreciated. A screen shot of the share settings is below.

Read the information contained within the i icons (information links)
iirc you should not have both of the
Allow and Only Allow settings checked at the same time.

So, if I don't want both Allow... and Only Allow... checked, I assume that I check "Allow Guest Access"?

As for the protocol versions, min is set to "SMB2" and max is set to "SMB3_00".

I replied to this last night but I guess the server crash resulted in the loss of some of the more recent posts.
Having done a bit more research AND SweetAndLo correcting me about the settings,
I was indeed wrong and wished to clairify...
The GUI has those little "i" informational icons that give a bit more information on what some of the
settings do and how to use them. In regard to the Allow Guest Access: & Only Allow Guest Access:
They can both be checked at the same time without issue. (thnx Sweet)
The information just states that in order for the Only Allow Guest Access to function,
the Allow Guest Access has to be checked also.
Sorry for steering you in the wrong direction

I use ES File Explorer and I do not have Allow Guest Access enabled and it works as expected.
