Hi,

I have a VDev that I'm trying to expand to 8TB drives. It used to be 4TB drives. I replaced 6 of them a month ago and now I'm trying to replace the last 2, but the WebUI won't let me and gives an error that the drive is too small.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary with the drives, any reason why it won't let me? It happens with both of the new drives.

I'm on TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.0.1

The new 8TB drives are all the same make and model with all the drives in that vdev? We may need a bug ticket with debug file to look closer.

Looks like other people have already created multiple tickets so I won't make another. I can provide a debug file though if that helps.

In my case, the drives are a mix of models. And 1 of the drives is SATA while the rest are SAS.

I got it to work by reinserting 1 of the 2 4TB drives I was trying to replace. Doing a replace on the missing drive and then removing the 4TB and replacing again.

All of my drives are WD, HGST, Hitachi variants.
