I just purchased a new Mini X+. I connected a monitor and network cable and booted up the Mini X+. I get to the console setup menu. I do not see any IP being automatically assigned. Why isnt my Mini X+ not getting a DHCP assigned IP? How can I fix this?

I tried adding the default gateway by hand.

Why? Adding a gateway won't do anything for you if you don't have an IP in the first place, and the CLI isn't the place to do it anyway--you have a console setup menu where you can configure your network interfaces.

I presume you have a working DHCP server. Have you tried a different network cable? Have you tried plugging it into a different network port on the NAS? Perhaps a different port on whatever you plugged it into? DHCP's usually pretty foolproof, so if it isn't working that generally means there's something pretty fundamental wrong.

Was my home router. Something must have been really screwed up. I reset the home router and the truenas now shows up.
