Attach HDD partitions to TrueNAS Scale VM?

TrueNAS Scale runs as a VM under Proxmox.

Say I have a 4TB HDD and a 2TB HDD (my setup is more complex but I have simplified it for the sake of this question).

Can I create a mirrored pool with the 2TB HDD and a 2TB partition on the 4TB HDD, and another single-drive pool (yes, I know, it's OK) on a second 2TB partition on the 4TB HDD?

Thanks.

You must use PCIe passthrough of a complete HBA to have stable operation of TrueNAS. You cannot use partitions. Only exception is the dedicated boot drive for which a virtual disk is ok.
