Whenever I try to install an app it gets to 75% and then sits for 10 minutes and eventually fails giving the error: [EFAULT] Failed to install chart release: Error: INSTALLATION FAILED: failed pre-install: timed out waiting for the condition

Not sure what is going on. have tried a few different things and can't work it out.

I had this 6 months ago when I tried to migrate from Core to Scale the first time. I thought I'd try again to see if it was just bad luck at the time.

But apparently not... My current thread with some screenshots of my settings:

I had this same issue, discovered that it was due to Kubernetes using the same subnets as my other existing networks, app installations were getting hung up trying to connect to outside sites like Github and failing. Go to Apps>Settings dropdown>Advanced Settings, make sure all your IP settings at the bottom don't conflict with any subnets that you already have in existence. Note: This will cause Kubernetes to reintialize, deleting installed apps and data!

For me, the explanation is that since TrueNas v22.12 they've coded a time limit of 2mn to download a catalog.
The problem is that, when you have a light internet connection like I do, the time limit is exceeded.
It's ok for the TrueNas catalog, but KO for the TrueCharts catalog, which is much larger.

The people on the TrueCharts discord, after a lot of back and forth (laughing at me), send the problem back to TrueNas.
It's not us, it's them...
Playground, I'm too old for that, I've gone elsewhere.

Having the same issue here. I briefly got Netdata to install by upgrading to Cobria but booting back to Bluefin had same issues and then going back to Cobria, the issues remain. Not sure why upgrading to Cobria briefly allowed apps to install but now I'm back at square one.

I'm having this same issue. The Kubernetes IP's are nowhere close to my home network so that shouldn't be it. My internet isn't particularly fast, is there a work around if that's the issue?

So, I was using the TrueScale version...switched to Truecharts and have installed multiple apps with zero issues.

I might try that again. There were a lot more options with the Truecharts versions and I don't know enough to get it to install that way either.

I did actually find that the problem disappeared by upgrading to 23.10. But then I ran into other problems. Ah, such is life.

It's you that decided to use TrueCharts, something iX has nothing to do with. Best luck anyway!

If anyone has issues with @truecharts, please go to them for any help since they do not offer support on this forum and the standard SCALE users cannot help you.

I have the same mood as you. After some critical failure on my apps of truecharts (most) and truenas, I choose to use my own way, deploy apps in VM. it's the most stable option now. maybe it's useful for you.
