Anyone heard of INSPUR-branded HBAs ?

I have bought a stash of server parts (random parts) for fairly cheap for my TrueNAS servers and got everything from 20GB SSDs to even a 4TB HDD. In the lot, I have found 12 cards from a manufacturer called ''Inspur'' that strangely (and even works) like an LSI 9211-8i.

Has anyone heard of ''Inspur'' and should I use those seemingly counterfeit cards ? I've tested them and they have the right bandwidth but I just don't wanna test my luck and potentially loose data.

Cheap Chinese knock-offs. I wouldn't trust them at all.

Hmmm I see. They look a little bit more reputable when I found out they made servers. Guess I'm gonna try them on a dummy array just out of curiosity and buy real LSI branded HBAs. Thanks.

Inspur is a very big manufacturer of servers established in China.
They have the 2nd largest market share in the global public cloud server market.
You do not know them because they sell directly to hyperscalers (AWS, Google, etc.)

Oh, I see. In the batches of cards I have one of them was defective so I did a teardown. I found a genuine LSI chip under the heatsink, so I would assume that those are safe to use. In a dummy server of mine, they work just fine after a week of heavy use, so I'm considering putting these in my main servers. Thanks for the info
