I just accidentally deleted the /data directory from my TrueNAS Scale system.
Everything is still running, but I have yet to reboot or do anything else on my system.
Am I screwed? I have backups of my config and secret seed but IDK if there is anything else in there that is going to be a problem.
What do I do now?

I rebooted and am now getting an error that middleware is not running, press enter to open root shell. Not sure where to go from here.

Or, if you haven't saved your config file, that's lost because it was in /data. However, as @danb35 says, reinstall. Then IMPORT your pool. Then you get to recreate your configuration from scratch, but at least your data isn't lost.

I reinstalled and restored my config. Wow, what a smooth process, after the config restore, it was like nothing had happened at all. Thank you!
