Accessing folder from internet/outside

Hi there...i'm a brand new truenas user. After plex installation and 100% working fine (also with samba sharing)
Now i should create a way to have a folder (where i can save difference file) where:
1) i can access from outside through internet connection
2) have the samba sharing to have access from windows pc

I tried to install and configure Nextcloud but have difference issue to resolve (fisrt one i can't edit the config file to insert the trusted_domains...and then to share the folder where i can access trough samba service)

I thought to use ftp service...but is the right way?
Maybe the best way could be have a GUI file explorer ad access to truenas from outside (already have access from outside...)
What are your suggestions?

Do NOT expose FTP to the Internet. Do NOT expose SMB to the Internet.

You should configure OpenVPN server on your TrueNAS, and an OpenVPN client on your external PC.
