I've tried booting as a new install with the latest freenas 11.2 U4 (also with U3) and it doesn't get past this point. Running 4.0.2f firmware on the cisco server... Any idea how we can debug this to help iX to make it work? This works fine on the C240 M4 units..

Having installed 11.1 u5 and then upgrading to 11.2 u4 does all the thing to run on this.. So seems to be a booting issue only..

You didn't say how you are accessing the boot media. Is it a physical DVD or USB stick, or are you mounting the ISO via the CIMC virtual media?

Booting via virtual media....
It sounds like you got past the issue, but I wonder if it would have booted in UEFI mode. I can boot the LSI flash utilities in FreeDOS on my HP servers, but I have to use the UEFI tools to do that flash on my Cisco servers (all M3 flavor).

I think the key change was using UEFI boot, using basic mode to pick HDD and then also doing this one for bios >> ”P-SATA OptionROM"
