That's not an Intel card. Search for a genuine PRO/1000 NIC.

Why not go with a sure thing? Amazon, like any other online retail platform, has its fair share of fake reviews.

There are user reviews on Amazon saying that it's working with TrueNAS. Is there any reason not to get it if it's working?

Yes. Consider for example that many 1Gbps Realtek cards work with TrueNAS. This is not a compelling endorsement that you should buy them, or that they will work well.

To circle back around to this card you found... There is a huge black market in Shenzhen for knockoff and fake chips and cards, and it is wise to be cautious about these things. I can tell you that I've seen 10Gtek around since maybe the late oughties and don't recall having heard many issues; if you purchased directly from them via their website I would even go so far as to bet you'd get a working card from them (but perhaps not actual Intel silicon). I don't have any evidence one way or another.

The other problem here is that outlets such as eBay and Amazon do approximately zero checking of their sellers, which makes it easy for relatively high quality fakes to enter circulation.

Given that it's Amazon, perhaps it isn't the world's worst thing to try picking up one of the cards and then making sure it works, and also identifies as an Intel chipset, and also performs like one too. I wouldn't rely on the experiences of others though.

The problem is we have a very small tech market in Bahrain which make hard to find specific parts. That's why I go to these site to buy what I need and get it shipped to me.

What about this one? It's HP card manufactured by Intel. From Intel store on Amazon.

Except it's not from "Intel store", it claims to be from "Ships from NoaX, Sold by NoaX". I would trust that less than 10Gtek because I've never heard of "NoaX".

NoaX appears to be an Amazon tech reseller in Sherman Oaks. It's not surprising there are different fulfillment centers by country. Once your adapter arrives, validate its YottaMark to confirm it's an authentic Intel NIC.

This is the gold standard advice if you *think* the card's legit but aren't 100%. Seconded.

Sold by Amazon is kinda promising though.
